Port Washington, NY – Members of the Youth Civil Service actively participated in a Coastal Clean-Up event organized by the Manhasset Bay Protection Committee at Bay Walk Park on Saturday, May 18th. The event, which took place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, was part of a significant effort to maintain and enhance the environmental health of Manhasset Bay.
During the clean-up, Youth Civil Service members joined other community volunteers to clear trash and debris from the park's shoreline and marsh areas. This collective action not only helped improve the aesthetic and recreational value of the bay but also protected the habitat of various marine and bird species that depend on this ecosystem.

This clean-up event provided an educational platform for all volunteers, especially young participants, to learn about the impacts of environmental neglect and the importance of community involvement in ecological preservation.
